Truth is far beyond what one understands with the mind...
I often wonder why it is that so many people love to sing, but only 10% of our active baptist congregations actually participate in a choir at church
This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday. This day marks the beginning of Holy Week, when the church remembers the events which occurred in the final days of Christ's life, his death, and his resurrection. Traditionally, Baptists have placed a great deal of focus on Easter, celebrating the glorified Christ, risen from the dead. However, the other events of the week, the Triumphal Entry, the Last Supper, and Good Friday are quite significant in our understanding and appreciation of Christ's completed work on Earth.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. "Worship Notes" is a place to post
thoughts pertaining to worship, happenings in the worship life of Sharpstown
Baptist Church, and to pass along announcements concerning music ministry and
church-wide worship events. Feel free to register so that you may participate
in the discussions.
